Begin at Freedom Park, also known as Parke Lucha pa Libertat, where the Desenkadená monument commemorates the struggle for freedom and the legacy of Tula and the 1795 uprising. Continue to Kas di Pal’i Maishi, a traditional adobe house and small museum that presents the daily life of Afro-Curaçaoan rural communities.
At Museo Tula, learn more about the 1795 uprising, the people who resisted slavery and the continuing importance of this history to Curaçao. The route also visits Sint Willibrordus Church, a community landmark dating to 1888.
